{"id":1431,"date":"2014-05-30T16:51:14","date_gmt":"2014-05-30T21:51:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sodpit.com\/?p=1431"},"modified":"2014-05-30T16:53:39","modified_gmt":"2014-05-30T21:53:39","slug":"windows-sysinternals-installer-wsi-52914","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sodpit.com\/?p=1431","title":{"rendered":"Windows Sysinternals Installer (WSI) 5\/29\/14"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&lt;Q&amp;A&gt;<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/sodpit.com\/files\/System%20Tools\/Windows%20Sysinternals%20Installer%20(WSI)%2020140529.exe\" target=\"_blank\">Windows Sysinterals Installer (WSI)<\/a> installs the entire <a href=\"http:\/\/technet.microsoft.com\/en-US\/sysinternals\" target=\"_blank\">Windows Sysinterals Suite<\/a> on your computer and, optionally, automatically updates all of the tools weekly or monthly.<br \/>\n&lt;\/Q&amp;A&gt;<\/p>\n<p>WSI is a Windows installer\u2026 it downloads the official ZIP from the Window Sysinterals team, unzips it to your Program Files folder, creates Windows Start Menu shortcuts and optionally allows you to update the applications either weekly or monthly (or none).<\/p>\n<p>The 5\/5\/14 installer was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=AiOtev3rEKI\" target=\"_blank\">flawed<\/a>. Ooops. It was flawed because <a href=\"http:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/kb\/823093\" target=\"_blank\">I BLAME MICROSOFT<\/a> (no, don\u2019t take their stupid little survey, they don\u2019t care anyway and you probably won\u2019t win anything).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/kb\/823093\" target=\"_blank\">schtask.exe has a nice little \u201cbug\u201d that ignores spaces inside quotes unless they are \u201cescaped\u201d properly<\/a>. Idiots at Microsoft. I swear.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s fixed now.
